- Critical perspectives on professional learning. Fourth Annual Conference, 11th Januay, 2010, 10:00 am - 4:30 pm, University of Leeds and Leeds Metropolitan University.
This one-day conference is the fourth in a series on professional learning, organised by the University of Leeds and Leeds Metropolitan University. It is intended for all those working with professional learning broadly defined. Call for papers, abstracts which are critical of received ideas pertaining to professional learning. If you would like to contribute a paper, please submit your abstract tó us by 31 August 2009. Abstracts must be written in English, be approximately 500 words; include a summary of the main topic of the proposed paper. ESREA Life history and biographical research conference 2010, March 4 - 7, in Växjö and Kalmar, Sweden
1st call for papers. Deadline for submissions of abstracts is December 4, 2009. The next ESREA Life history and Biography Network, is organised by the Linnaeus University in Sweden (Växjö and Kalmar) in cooperation with the Emigrant Museum in Växjö. The theme of this conference can be regarded as an answer to several ongoing discussions in the field an we welcome papers that draw on life history, biographical and auto/biographical research but also other topics. The focus of the opening theme will be Active citizenship in local, regional and global perspectives: critical and interdisciplinary approaches. The congress language is English. - The European research organisation CESE - Comparative Education Society in Europe - and the Department of Education at Uppsala University organises the 24th International Conference on Comparative Education in Uppsala, Sweden, August 16-19, 2010. The theme is Enlightenment, Creativity and Education: Polities, Policies, Performances. Papers relevant to comparative education and research in comparative education are welcome. Selected papers will be published in a report and, eventually as an edited book. The conference language is English and all abstracts should be in English. The full paper may be given in French or in English. Please submit an abstract no more than 4000 characters. Ethics, resilience and sustainability are among the elements of authentic educational leadership that are increasingly appropriate to our times. More than ever there is a need for genuinely authentic leadership for improving our schools, colleges and universities. We are identifying these three subthemes as a structure for our continuing discussion of authentic leadership, ethics and moral literacy. We also invite the submission of titles and abstracts for papers that align with these themes. - Mimers jublieumskonferens 2010 - Årlig forskarkonferens 9 -10 november
Mimer inbjuder till årets forskarkonferens i samarbete med Sigtuna folkhögskola den 9-10 november. Mimer firar 20 år 2010 och på årets forskarkonferens kommer detta jubileum att uppmärksammas. Forskare inbjudes att bidra med paper (5-15 sidor). Det är en arbetskonferens och därför välkomnas presentation av paper i olika stadier som speglar pågående forskning, såväl i en trevande början som i slutfasen när resultat finns. Inlägg med ett kortare PM (en A4 sida) kring projekt eller idéer om forskning, inom kontakttorget, välkomnas från både forskare och folkbildare. The fourth conference in 2011 will be held in Trondheim and will be hosted by the Lifelong Learning Research Centre (ViLL) at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
