Radio Production

Radio Production, 7.5 ECTS-credits

Objective

The aim of the course is to provide students with knowledge and skills to use radio as a channel for information, e.g. civic information and news. Within the course, students will have an opportunity to apply techniques in producing radio programs. The course also has practical applications of interview techniques.

Teaching Methods

The teaching methods are a variety of lectures, seminars, group studies and practical assignments.

Examination and Grading

Examination forms are combined with written and verbal tests, assignments individually and in groups, and level of activity during the course. Grades given are VG, G and U for Swedish students and the ECTS grading scale A – E, FX and F for the international students.

Course Evaluation

The course will be evaluated at the end of the course. The procedure for course evaluations at HLK follows the principles as prescribed by law.

Prerequisites

One year of completed undergraduate studies within media, communication, or journalism.

Fluency in English equivalent to at least a 550 (old scale) 312 (new scale) TOEFL score.

(Competency in Swedish language not required.)
